Life in Charleston is hot, casual, and breezy. When dressing, I look for pieces that can be worn in 100 degree heat (with 95% humidity), and also in the Fall when it cools to 60/70 with a refreshing, crisp feel in the air. RHODE is my go-to. Throw and go with a pair of sneaks (I am eyeing this pair of Premiata), or dress the outfit up with a pair of Butrich platforms. In the everchanging world of fashion, the true test of success is a silhouette that remains in a collection season-after-season. Rhode has done just this with not one, not two, but three silhouettes - the Ella, the Pia, and the Lulani. What pairs better with a cotton dress than a new Arcoiris denim jacket? I dare say nothing...
P.S. How FREAKING cute is my mom? We are a lucky family ;) She is wearing CeliaB which is another one of my favorite designers.
Insider tip from someone who has 4 different Ella Dresses, check TheRealReal! Shopping secondhand is not only sustainable, but cost effective. RHODE runs a tad large so size down! I am eyeing this pink, flutter sleeve mini for the Spring.
How impossibly chic is this new Pia!? It's giving Western workwear meets feminine ruffles. I don't know anyone who doesn't love a denim moment. I would pair this with funky boots and a fun hat.
Sadie Loving looks perfectly tropical in her RHODE dress below.
