5 Things I Am Coveting in 2024

The Sezane Max Shirt
You can't go wrong with a crisp, oversized white button down. This wardrobe staple instantly elevates your favorite pair of Levi's or your go-to mini skirt. Sezane is every French cool girls go-to store. Inspired by Paris and the people that call it home, Sezane is chic, timeless, and elegant. I am eyeing quite a few other pieces on TheRealReal (ie: this prairie meets Paris maxi dress) and hope to continue building my wardrobe with seasonless pieces from Sezane. I can't wait to grab drinks with my friends in my Max Shirt with denim Arcoiris cutoffs during the Spring. Intentional purchasing is a huge goal of mine in 2024 and pieces like the Max Shirt are extremely versatile and wearable.

A Little Bird Trucking Hat
Designed by the coolest girl in the Southeast, Briley King, these hats are a seemingly essential purchase as we head into Spring. I am a freak about getting sun on my face and wear a hat all Spring and Summer long. This girl is NOT getting wrinkles. The feather trucker hats are the cutest way to shade your face from the sun and rock merch from a women-owned small business. Check out how Briley styles her hats on TikTok. Her style is simply iconic.
Any and all items from Stasher
One thing about me...I am terrified of plastic. BPA's, extra plastic in the environment, animals ingesting the material, poor recycling, toxic chemicals leaking into our food - it's all super scary and depressing. While a lot of these factors are completely out of our control, doing your part for your health and the environment is still important. I found Stasher Bags while I was perusing Whole Foods (aka my sanctuary) and immediately fell in love. The bags are made of food-grade silicon so they do not leak chemicals into your food, and are a fantastic alternative to Ziplock bags or plastic bags. Supposedly they save 260 plastic bags a year. They don't leak, save money on buying plastic bags, are dishwasher safe (easy cleanup!!!), and BPA free. I have 1 in every size and hope to continue to add to my collection!
A Mary Ball painting
Mary Ball is a New Orleans based artist who is influenced by her outdoor studio in the Crescent City. Her paintings are acrylic and ink scenes full of life, color, and pattern. What I love about Mary's paintings is the fact that no painting looks even remotely the same as the next. Each explores new shapes, textures, and colors. The art evokes a sense of wonder and excitement yet remains peaceful and true to her roots. Anything that takes inspiration from my beloved city holds a veyr special place in my heart.  I can clearly see the locations, people, nature, and architecture that is New Orleans in her art. Capturing the Big Easy is a beautiful thing. Mary releases her art in drops and I hope to snag a piece in 2024 to add to my growing art collection.

A Satsuma Tree
As a beginner gardener, picking the first lemon off my tree was a feeling of utter triumph. Addicted to the thrill of fresh fruit, I am continuing my citrus journey with a satsuma tree. When I spend time with my parents at their adorable cottage in New Orleans, we drink fresh satsuma juice almost every morning. My mom has a regular grove in the yard - Meyer Lemons, Persian Limes, and Satsumas all sit in their terracotta pots producing fresh citrus year-round. The juice is fresh squeezed, perfectly tart, and the most stunning color of orange. Adding a satsuma tree to my plant babies is a must-do for 2024.
